Finnish Jazz &
Pop Archive
Preserves Finnish popular music. The JAPA is taking part in
digital conversion projects, funded by the Ministry of Education,
which are converting old open reel tapes and C-cassettes at risk
of destruction to digital format. The JAPA is also releasing its
own series of CDs containing historically significant Finnish jazz

Spain
Radio Nacional de España
The Spanish National Radio has digitised its audio contents. In
all, 190.000 hours of audio recordings have been moved to digital
format (popular music, classical music, plays, radio serials,
voice recordings and news casts). In the future, agreements will
be signed with educational and cultural bodies to make this
archive available to researchers and also to individuals who would
make use of it for non profitable means.
